I can't believe how the time just flies by and just gets away from us! It's been an awful long time since I posted on here. I do blame Facebook for it, since I started posting on there I just forgot about my blog.
I am going to try and keep up with my blog posting this year! I also did some much needed updating on my blog today.
I would like to share with you that I have revamped my website. I gave it a whole new look while actually my web host helped me with it, and I have to say that I am very happy with the new look. I have changed from the cutesy look I once had and have a nicer cleaner look. Go take a look My Country Cottage Signs let me know what you think in the comments below.
I just finished another of my favorite craft shows Sugar Plum it was a little different a new type of show for us. It was an Art to Wear/ Mother's Day Show, we had a lot of new customers come visit us. It was a fun filled two day show for girlfriends, Mothers, daughters, aunties and grandmothers to enjoy!
I have a new line of Burlap Pillows that I introduced at my Sugar Plum Craft Show. They were a hit there, so I listed them over at Raggedy Dollys If you have a chance go over and take a look.
Lots of new and exciting things going on over here.
I will keep you up to date on all the new things to come. I am working on some new lines that I will be sharing soon!
Until next time

Let's Catch Up And Productivity!!
I just noticed that I have not posted on my blog since March of 2013, I can't believe it has been that long. I am doing all my posting on Facebook and twitter now!
I just wanted to come and write a blog post since I knew it had been a while but I had no idea it had been this long.
Let's catch up a little with whats been going on over at My Country Cottage Signs I have been very busy with Wedding Signs and Birthday Banners, I just got over a bad cold that lasted over 2 weeks. I am finally caught up with all my orders YAY!!
I am gonna start on my fall ideas real soon, right now I am busy filling my sketch pad with lots of new ideas.
Productivity seems to be a problem for everyone, I want to share something I found out about yesterday, maybe you have heard of it. It's called Kanban, it is an incredibly simple and wonderful way to organize your work time. Kanban was originally developed by Toyota back in the 1950s as a way to maximize productivity and encourage the development of new ideas and concepts quickly.
You will need a Kanban Board to do this, you can make it yourself, all you need to make your own Kanban board is a white board, a Dry Erase Marker and some sticky notes. What you do is basically just draw 3 columns that are titled To Do, Doing, Done. When you have a task that needs to be completed, you write it on a sticky note and place it in the TO DO column. After you have begun, move the sticky note to the Doing column, finally when you have finished the task, move the sticky note to the Done column.
Its so easy to use I made one today and I just love it!!! I separated mine with 3 additional sections going across the whiteboard to make it look like a grid, I wrote 3 separate projects on my board. You can customize your board to suit your needs. It feels good moving those sticky notes across the whiteboard until you've completed your task at hand. I love the visual organization of my board and it gets me focused in a way that I never had before. The concept is so simple but truly helpful.
Here is a picture of mine so you can see how it's made, mine is nothing fancy you can make yours as elaborate as you like. I needed quick and simple, excuse the smudges, I will clean those up later. Oh No, Now you know the tasks I have to complete, well now it will keep me accountable...LOL
Well I took it one step further, I found an app for my note 3, my tablet and my computer that syncs all my tasks to all three locations. It's called Trello for the app, and Trello.com for your computer. I love this, so when I am not near my Kanban Board I can still write down my task and later add them to my Kanban Board.
I feel so Productive already, I have been hunting for the perfect productivity system for a long time and I finally found it.
I hope Kanban can help you with your productivity, let me know if you give it a try. I would love to hear how it has helped you.
Here's to a productive day until next time,
Rosalie
P.S. Next time won't be this long, I promise!!

New Updates At My Country Cottage Signs/Raggedy Dollys!!
Hi It's been crazy busy over here at My Country Cottage Signs/ Raggedy Dollys orders are pouring in and my craft show season is in full swing.
I am going to be at the Carlsbad Street Fair this Sunday Nov.6th 2011 on Madison just past Grand Ave. in the beautiful city of Carlsbad. We are the booth that looks like an olde time Country Store. Come by and say hello, there will be lots of holiday signs and my friend Laura will be there with all her great vintage/retro finds.
I will once again be personalizing ornaments and yard signs for you. I have a jewerly line that now includes the new feather extensions, earrings and keychains.
I have new wedding signs, shabby chic signs over at my website if you would like to take a look My Country Cottage Signs . I haven't added my jewerly line yet but if you are interested in my feather line send me an email and I can send you pics. I will be taking these over to my shops in Temecula and Murrieta next week.
I found this "Birth Of A New Tradition" and I would like to share this with you:
Christmas 2011 -- Birth of a New Tradition
As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high
gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods
merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor.
This year will be different. This year Americans will give the gift of genuine
concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift
giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes
there is!
It's time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in
a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper?
Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates
from your local American hair salon or barber?
Gym membership? It's appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement.
Who wouldn't appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned
detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a
book of gift certificates.
Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plonking down
the Benjamines on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift
receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or
driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course.
There are a bazillion owner-run restaurants -- all offering gift certificates. And, if your intended isn't the fancy eatery sort, what about
a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint. Remember, folks this
isn't about big National chains -- this is about supporting your home town
Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open.
How many people couldn't use an oil change for their car, truck or
motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy?
Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a
local cleaning lady for a day.
My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is
struggling to get his repair business up and running.
OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin
their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery
and beautiful wooden boxes.
Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave
your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at
your hometown theatre.
Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.
Honestly, people, do you REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese
lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of light, about
fifty cents stays in the community. If you have those kinds of bucks to
burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip.
You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that
China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about
US, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow
their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our
communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn't imagine.
THIS is the new American Christmas tradition.
Forward this to everyone on your mailing list -- post it to discussion
groups -- throw up a post on Craigslist in the
Rants and Raves section in
your city -- send it to the editor of your local paper and radio stations,
and TV news departments. This is a revolution of caring about each other,
and isn't that what Christmas is about?
Well that's it for now, my work is yelling for me!! LOL

May Already!!!
Well actually it's the middle of May I don't know where the time has gone. Here is a little of what's been going on over at My Country Cottage Signs. I made this special order Banner/Garland Lemonade Sign and want to share it. I like how it came out so I made an extra one and listed it in my Etsy shop.
Here is a special order I made for another customer, she really loved her sign. It's going to hang over her dogs muffin and cupcakes dog house. Isn't that cute!!
I am doing a lot of custom orders for my customers, I will share them when I can. Right now I am working on a very large cupcake it's a gift for someone special. Can't wait to finish it and see how it comes out.
I've been busy filling my shop over in Old Town Temecula and listing new items over at my website. I have a new website for My Country Cottage Signs, it's up and running now, it was down for some time. I am still working on the finishing touches, but we are open for business!!
We are having another lil granddaughter she is due in Oct. We went to view her in 3D last week, it's amazing what they can do. The room was set up like a theater with a large screen, it was an entire wall very large with 2 large sofas so the whole family can view the lil one. My daughter had a dvd made of our special day!
Back to my orders, just wanted to share a little of what I have been up to lately. I am posting more on facebook, so if you want go over to the link on the right side bar and like me.
Hugs to all,
Rosalie

Sugar Plum Valentine Craft Show
Here are some photos from my Valentine Sugar Plum Craft Show in Buena Park, I personalized at this show on the table area.
Here is a center photo of my booth
I found this on Facebook, if you use Facebook this is something you may be interested in.
PLEASE READ - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO EVERYONE WHO USES FACEBOOK FOR BUSINESS OR PERSONAL REASONS. {Shared by Abby Smith } Thanks Abby
Have you noticed that you are only seeing updates in your newsfeed from the same people lately? Have you also noticed that when you post things like status messages, photos and links, the same circle of people are commenting and everyone else seems to be ignoring you?
Don't worry, everyone still loves you and nobody has intentionally blocked you. The problem is that a large chunk of your friend/fan list can't see anything you post and here's why:
The "New Facebook" has a newsfeed setting that by default is automatically set to show ONLY posts from people who you've recently interacted with or interacted the most with (which would be limited to the couple of weeks just before people started switching to the new profile). So in other words, for both business and personal pages, unless your friends/fans commented on one of your posts within those few weeks or vice versa - you are now invisible to them and they are invisible to you!!
HERE'S THE FIX: Scroll down to the bottom of the newsfeed on the homepage and click on "Edit Options", click on "Show Posts From" and change the setting to "All Of Your Friends and Pages" Note: This is the fix for personal pages but I am unsure of whether or not the business pages are set up the same way.
Goodnight,
Rosalie

I'm Back, Thank You All For A Great 2010
Ok I'm back It's was a very busy 2010 for My Country Cottage Signs/Raggedy Dollys! I want to thank all of my customers for a great year!
I have lots to share. Don't know where to start. How about a photo of my Lil Ashlynn with Santa?:
My website My Country Cottage is down right now and is asking you to download firefox. Please don't download anything I don't know why it is asking for you to download and I don't know who could be doing this.
I am working on new websites right now. Click here: Raggedy Dollys is finished go take a look and let me know what you think.
We are working on My Country Cottage Signs right now, so I am referring my customers to my Click Here: Etsy Shop Until my website is complete. Sorry for any inconvience this may cause you, I will notify you when my website is up and running here on my blog, facebook and twitter!
My favorite Craft Show Sugar Plum Arts & Crafts Festival in Buena Park is next week the show starts Feb. 3rd - 5th.
The count down is at 7 days for me, where does the time go? Still working on my new pieces, can hardly wait to see how they come out. You know when you take your sketchs and make the product it doesn't always come out the way you envisioned it. Anyhow I will share pics of my work in progress, dragged it all in the house to work on last night.
I am having fun taking photos these two were taken with my phone, not to shabby! Now maybe I will have more photos to share with you. I always forget my camera at home.LOL
I will close with this: I ran across this I feel that a lot us can relate including myself actually this is my biggest problem. LOL
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD
All of us have to eat. For Women Who Do Too Much, how and what we eat is often problematic. And developing a healthy relationship with food—well, that concept sounds a bit foreign, doesn’t it?
Hugs,
Rosalie
